Complete Guide to ESC Volunteering for Young Citizens from Türkiye & Candidate Countries
Everything you need to secure a fully funded 2–12 month volunteering placement anywhere in Europe.
Who is eligible?
Young people aged 18–30 legally residing in an EU Member State or a programme/partner country — including Türkiye, North Macedonia and Serbia — can register on the European Youth Portal and apply to accredited projects.
What is covered
Travel, accommodation, food, comprehensive insurance, language support and monthly pocket money are fully covered. You pay nothing to take part.
How to apply
Create a profile on the European Youth Portal, search the opportunity database, and contact hosting organisations directly with a tailored motivation letter. Expect 2–6 months between application and departure.
Tips to stand out
Show concrete motivation tied to the host's mission, highlight soft skills, and prepare for an online interview. A supporting organisation in your country strengthens your application considerably.
